MAC Summary

A summary of the March minutes is attached.

📄 MAC Meeting Summary — March 10, 2026

Urology

Referrals go to the on-call physician on the day of the referral. Please note: do not send referrals to the next "local urologist". The urology group is aware that they are responsible for patients referred to them when they are on call.

OB Roster Form

FYI there is a new OB roster form attached. Copies are available in the department.

For unattached pregnant patients, don't forget to order labs and arrange a dating US (can be outpatient).

📄 Obstetric Roster Referral Form

Low Back Pain Clinic

Still exists — requires a referral from the patient's family doctor. There are copies of the brochure in the department.

Post-Operative Tonsillectomy Bleeds

Please involve ENT early for cases of post-operative tonsillectomy bleeding. There were a series of pediatric deaths last year related to post-operative bleeding, and our ENT group expects to be called early in these cases. Please reach out to them.

SSPC Referrals

Wait times are up to 8–10 weeks for non-urgent referrals. Your patients will be contacted by the SSPC to provide appointment times.

Stroke Admits

Gentle reminder that neurology doesn't admit patients — strokes admitted to the stroke unit go under the hospitalist.
